Evergreen were contracted by DR Jones and Sovereign Housing Association, to undertake a large part of the ‘estate improvements’ programme at Kelly Close and Savage Road, situated in Barn Barton, Plymouth.

The contracted works of six months included:

As with any contract of this size, time scales, schedules and specifications change on a regular basis and the Evergreen team were constantly facing new challenges. Working with the main contractors and sub contractors we were able to produce high quality work in all aspects of contract that we under took.
The works were carried out over two estates, with over 75 plots being worked on. This saw some 750 concrete posts being replaced with timber ones, over 300 trellises erected, almost 400 metres of security fencing erected and thousands of blocks and bricks being laid.
The organization, hard work, expertise and dedication of the Evergreen team are highlighted by the contract being completed on time, within budget, and to an excellent standard of workman ship.

Evergreen won an ongoing contract with Jephson Housing Group to maintain the communal grounds of some 300 dwellings at Little America, Deer Park. Plymouth.

The terrain of Little America is challenging for grounds maintenance operations, with much of the grassed areas being steep banks, and with the estate being located next to woodland and with the estate itself, containing hundreds of trees this is a most demanding contract.
Having took over the contract in 2008 Evergreen together with Jephson Housing, and the care taker of the estate have greatly improved the ascetical value of the grounds and have now bought the communal areas up to an excellent standard.

As separate contract works, we also carry out a large amount of arboriculture and stump grinding works for Jephson. This includes removal of diseased trees, crown lifting and reduction, re-shaping and pruning.
The ongoing hard work and investment in new machinery ensure Little Americas grounds are kept to very high standards.
